Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Intelligent Learning Technologies and Education (JILTE) must be original, unpublished, and related to the fields of artificial intelligence in education, learning technologies, pedagogical innovation, educational analytics, and digital transformation in academic environments. Submitted works must not be simultaneously under consideration by another journal or publishing platform.

Authors must ensure that the manuscript complies with scientific quality standards, academic ethics, and international editorial guidelines before submission.


Manuscript Preparation

General Format

Manuscripts must be submitted in:

  • Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
  • A4 page size.
  • Times New Roman font.
  • Font size 12 pt.
  • 1.5 line spacing.
  • 2.5 cm margins.
  • Justified text.
  • Continuous page numbering.

Manuscript Length

  • Research articles: 5,000–8,000 words.
  • Systematic reviews: up to 10,000 words.
  • Academic essays: 3,000–6,000 words.
  • Short communications: 1,500–3,000 words.

Article Structure

The manuscript should include the following elements:

  1. Article title.
  2. Full names of the authors.
  3. Institutional affiliation.
  4. ORCID (recommended).
  5. Institutional email address.
  6. Abstract (150–250 words).
  7. Keywords (3–5).
  8. Introduction.
  9. Methodology.
  10. Results.
  11. Discussion.
  12. Conclusions.
  13. References.

Tables, Figures, and Images

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively.
  • Each item must include a descriptive title and corresponding source information.
  • Images must have adequate resolution and appropriate permissions when applicable.
  • Authors are responsible for reproduction rights related to graphical materials.

Citation and Reference Style

The journal follows the APA Style (7th edition) for citations and references.

Accepted Languages

The journal accepts manuscripts in:

  • English.
  • Spanish.

Professional linguistic revision prior to submission is recommended.


Originality Statement

Authors must guarantee that:

  • The work is original and unpublished.
  • There is no plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
  • All sources are properly cited.
  • The presented data and results are authentic.

All manuscripts will be screened using academic similarity detection software.


Artificial Intelligence Usage

The use of artificial intelligence tools must be explicitly declared within the manuscript. Authors must specify:

  • The name of the tool used.
  • The type of assistance provided.
  • The extent of its use.

Scientific and ethical responsibility for the content remains exclusively with the authors.


Peer Review Process

All manuscripts will undergo:

  1. Preliminary editorial review.
  2. Double-blind peer review.
  3. Author revision based on reviewer comments.
  4. Final editorial decision.

Ethical Statement

Authors must declare:

  • Absence of conflicts of interest.
  • Informed consent when applicable.
  • Compliance with research ethics principles.
  • Transparency in data management.

Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the journal’s official editorial platform together with:

  • Originality statement.
  • Conflict of interest declaration.
  • Complete author information.

Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in immediate rejection of the manuscript.

  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
